THE ROCK PILE
Director: John Deery
Screenwriter: W. David McBrayer
Hugh Bonneville stars as Bob Hastings, a British war correspondent for TIME Magazine who, through soccer, finds a compelling story about three young boys - a Muslim, a Jew and an Arab-Christian - who throw rocks at each other from atop mounds of building rubble in present-day Jerusalem. Ignoring the age-old prejudices of their families, the boys become friends but an unforeseen twist changes their lives forever.
Moving, heart-warming, and not without humour, THE ROCK PILE resonates far beyond its geographical setting and does not take sides in the conflict. The story is an English language film, has worldwide appeal and is movingly told through the eyes of young children – the future generation in a war-torn region.
The film will shoot late 2019.
